Cardiac assessment
closer to care

EasyEF uses AI to assess cardiac contraction from smartphone recordings of an ultrasound display, giving clinicians additional information for care decisions.

01 / FROM IMAGE TO INSIGHT

From images to insight for care teams

Use a smartphone with an existing ultrasound system, connecting analysis to the work of care teams.

  1. Record the display

Trained personnel record the ultrasound display with a smartphone, capturing a parasternal long-axis (PLAX) view of the heart.

  2. Send for analysis

Send the video to cloud-based AI to support assessment of left ventricular function.

  3. Interpret in context

Clinicians interpret the results alongside clinical information to inform care decisions.

INSIDE EASYEF

A closer look at EasyEF

From framing a recording to presenting a result for clinical review, these screens show the app workflow used in our demonstrations.

EasyEF recording screen and guide: frame the image, record, review, then submit for analysis

Record and review before sending

Users frame the ultrasound image and review the clip before sending it. Image quality is an essential starting point for assessment.

Example EasyEF result screen from the presented version, displaying the Poor LV category

A result category for clinical review

This example illustrates the result display. Interpretation and care decisions require a clinician and the wider clinical context.

Screens from the version presented in March 2026 may differ from the current app. Gauge numbers mark category thresholds, not a directly measured EF value. Timings in the guide are illustrative, not a processing-time guarantee.

02 / LEARNING TOGETHER

From shared sessions
to questions from practice

At Khon Kaen on 22 August 2025, the team joined discussions and small-group activities with healthcare personnel. Research and engagement with care teams both inform our approach to image capture and result interpretation.

03 / IN THE FIELD

Real stories from the field

We engage with professionals across four health regions through presentations, discussions, and small-group learning, keeping development close to care teams.

04 / EVIDENCE, IN CONTEXT

Evidence means more
with context

From clip testing to a hospital study, we use the findings to guide what comes next, particularly improvements in intermediate cardiac-function categories.

The studies use different data units and designs. Their headline figures should not be interpreted as a direct performance trend.
